Look for our next OPEN MIC "FUN" RAISER coming up this fall at one of the pubs in Pearl River.  Our last two events at Parkside Tavern in March and in July were well attended and raised some decent funds to support our Lion projects thru donations and 50/50 raffles.

Live Music  at these events are in "Open Mic" format will be provided by Muddy Creek.

Check out their web site by clicking on the Live Music box below.

Come, eat and drink, and have some fun!  Looking forward to seeing you at our next event.

ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE will held again this fall at the ShopRite store in Pearl River.  Look at this web site periodically for information on the date of this event.

Last year, about $3,500 worth of food and $441 in cash contributions were collected in front of the ShopRite store in Pearl River.

The food was donated to People to People in West Nyack and the MKL Center in Spring Valley.  The cash was split between Meals on Wheels in West Nyack and St. Stephen's Cupboard in Pearl River.

We sincerely thank the people of Pearl River who made the donations.

Regrettably, our ANNUAL FLEA MARKET & CRAFT FAIR will not be held this year.  New ideas for holding this event are being formulated.  Look at this web site periodically for information on the return of this popular event held on Central Avenue Field in Pearl River.  As in the past, the fantastic, entertaining  Live Music will provided in "Open Mic" format in the Gazebo by Muddy Creek.  Check out their web site by clicking on the Live Music box below.

COMMUNITY GARDEN

The Pearl River Lions Club continues to be one of the sponsors of a Community Garden on the property of Pearl River Lion member Janet Fischer. Throughout the harvest season, in September and October, vegetables are picked and donated to People to People and Meals on Wheels.  Many thanks to those volunteers who help in maintaining the garden throughout the year, and especially to Janet and her husband, Charles, for donating the use of their property.

Eat Out with the Pearl River Lions  We are looking forward to doing this again next year.

Thanks to all who attended our "Eat Out" at Rooster's Cafe  and at Pizza Rev last year.  We raised a total of $340 from the "kickback" from the two and the cash placed in donation jars.

Also thanks to the "Open Mic" musicians who entertained us on Rooster's patio.

The Pearl River Lions Club has been serving the community of Pearl River for over 50 years.

In keeping with the theme of Lions Clubs International, we support organizations related to sight conservation and restoration. We also support local service organizations in Pearl River and its surrounding communities.

From local families to global charities, the Pearl River Lions Club helps people.

Just ask the little girl whose family could not afford the special eyeglasses she needed to improve her vision. When the family’s insurance plan would not cover the necessary services visual aids, we contacted a sponsor, a local optometrist and arranged to provide for the child.

Or ask the families who lost loved one in one of our nations greatest tragedies. We supported the National Lions September 11th Fund which aided victim families.

Whether it is the Habitat for Humanity, Guiding Eyes for the Blind or our local Ambulance Corp., the Pearl River Lions helps people in a multitude of ways. Please call us and let us know how you can help us help others. Thank you!
